From Sonny Angels to Labubus, the blind box trend has taken over the world, filling customers with anticipation and excitement over cute collectibles. Now, fans can find the trends in an unexpected place: grocery stores.

German supermarket chain Aldi is tapping into the craze by introducing the Aldi Blind Box, offering four different themed boxes filled with curated products from the grocery aisles, turning “grocery shopping into something a little less predictable,” the company said in a statement.

“From viral  Aldi  Finds to tried-and-true products shoppers love to tell their friends about, people love the thrill of discovering something new here,”  Bridget Kozlowski, Director of Communications at Aldi, said.  ”With surprise unboxings more popular than ever, this is our way of helping customers discover even more favorites.”

The move follows Aldi’s expansion in the US, with the company expecting to open 180 stores in 2026. The chain has set itself apart from other retailers by offering low prices and its products’ packaging doubling as displays to lower costs and improve efficiency.

Aldi shoppers will be able to claim an Aldi Blind Box for free from June 22  through June 25, with a new box dropping each day. Dropping at 12 p.m. every day, shoppers wishing to acquire a free box delivered to their door may do so by visiting the company’s dedicated blind box website. Aldi will be updating shoppers via their Instagram, announcing the theme of the day.

The four varieties include Snack, Fiber, Protein, and Mystery themed boxes and may include anything from snacks, cheeses, and pantry items, to premium meats and fresh produce.

Aldi’s “Snack” blind box will feature a mix for grazing including cheeses, dips, sweets, and crunchy snacks. The “Fiber” blind box is a “feel-your-best box” filled with gut-friendly snacks, while the “Protein” blind box brings snacks to help shoppers with their protein goals. Lastly, the “Mystery” box is set to have a mix of fan-favorite products from across the store.
