    Crossing the Rubicon-10-12-26 Intro

I have finished the next book on the true story of how, unfortunately, the Founding Fathers were taken in by the ancient fake news of Cicero. His fate was rather dramatic. For all his fake news, they cut off his hands and nailed them to the Rostrum. That was certainly a dramatic end for someone who twisted the facts to always support his personal agenda. Interestingly, the parallels between what compelled Caesar to cross the Rubicon and today are uncanny: the fake news, the corruption, a Senate that did not listen to the people an never cared about them either. And when Caesar crossed the Rubicon, he was cheered by the people, who saw him as a liberator. It was the Senate that fled to Greece because they had no troops and no support. Caesar did not have to fight his way into Rome. Since Cicero fled with Pompey, that showed which side he was on.

    Cicero Hands

Believing Cicero’s version would be like allowing Hillary Clinton to write the history of Donald Trump. This book examines the reforms and what really took place. History repeats because the passions of mankind never change. This book not only sets the record straight once and for all, it lays out why republics become the most corrupt form of government. The truth that is glossed over is that senators were appointed. They did not stand for election.

Cassius Voting Scene 60BC AR Denarius CR 413 1

The Roman people could only vote for a consul, not for senators. The Censor (from 443 BC onward) was the magistrate responsible for the lectio senatus — the formal review and revision of Senate membership. We need to grasp a subtle but important distinction in how Roman voting actually worked. The people did not vote directly for the consul as individuals, but rather in groups (centuries). So it was not a direct vote by the people individually. It was organized into a representative-style body of self-interest. Today, the people who truly wield power in the US, Canada, and Europe never really stand for election. They are appointed. The Canadian people did not vote individually for Carney any more than Europe voted for Ursula, or than the American people vote for the heads of departments or federal judges.

    Opening the Door to Reality

We cannot understand the future by ignoring the past. reviewing the truth instead of political fiction, this allows us to see the real risks that we face when we open that door and are shocked at how the world is preparing for a major change politically and economically.

This will be provided to those attended in person as part of the ticket.
