On Saturday, August 30, the guts of New York Metropolis shook with a sound not often heard in Washington Sq. Park: conservatives, independents, and even Democrats standing shoulder-to-shoulder towards socialism.

Brandon Straka, founding father of the #WalkAway motion, was joined by writer and media character Shamika Michelle, mayoral candidate Joseph Hernandez, social media firebrand Defender of the Republic, and myself to rally towards the failed ideology that radical Democrats are actually attempting to pressure on America.

The gang gathered in some of the liberal corners of the nation to ship a message that freedom is not going to die quietly, even in New York.

Straka reminded New Yorkers of what the left desires individuals to neglect—America’s biggest energy is freedom, and socialism destroys freedom wherever it spreads.

His name was a warning that conservatives, moderates, and independents should unite now or threat watching New York Metropolis fall deeper beneath the management of extremists.

Unity just isn’t a selection; it’s the solely possibility if this metropolis and nation are going to outlive the socialist assault.

Socialism doesn’t work. Venezuela, as soon as the wealthiest nation in South America, has collapsed after years of socialist rule. Greater than 76% of Venezuelans now stay in excessive poverty, and over 7 million residents have fled since 2015 in line with the United Nations.

In 2018, Venezuela’s inflation charge skyrocketed above 65,000%, wiping out financial savings and leaving households to starve.

Cuba, one other so-called socialist success story, has common month-to-month wages of lower than $20 and continues to ration fundamental meals and medication.

Wherever socialism spreads, it brings collapse, shortage, and distress. Importing these similar failed insurance policies into the USA will destroy alternative for thousands and thousands of People.

The rally was held in the course of Washington Sq. Park, with vacationers, college students, and households compelled to confront concepts the media refuses to point out them.

New Yorkers stopped, listened, and debated in actual time.

The youthful crowd of school college students was confronted with details that challenged the lies they’ve been bought.

Gallup polling exhibits that 44% of People beneath 30 view socialism favorably in comparison with solely 28% of these over 65. The rally reduce instantly into this weak demographic with the message that inequality just isn’t solved by making everybody equally poor.

Zohran Mamdani and his socialist allies are usually not preventing for progress, they’re preventing for management. Their insurance policies would intestine small companies, defund the police, and scale back an already struggling metropolis right into a hole shell.

Almost half of New York Metropolis’s workforce is employed by small companies, and these companies are already suffocating beneath excessive taxes and limitless laws. Stripping them of much more sources would destroy the spine of the town’s financial system.

The one approach ahead is thru insurance policies that empower households and entrepreneurs, not via authorities overreach that punishes success and rewards dependency.

Socialism can not win except individuals cease preventing, and conservatives in New York simply confirmed that they aren’t going wherever.

The rally despatched a transparent message throughout the town and the nation: socialism has no protected harbor in America, not even in New York Metropolis.
